Weekly Message

Dear Parents,

This week started off quietly then ended with a number of exciting events. Yesterday saw many of the children and staff dress up to mark World Book Day, the children took part in a variety of actvities and a group of the reading ambassadors went over to Grappenhall Manor to share their favourite books with a number of the residents. The children were superb and everyone had a wonderful time. Our Year 6 class also had a great day at the Stockport Air Raid Shelters. They spent the day finding out what life was like for evacuees and families living through the second world war.

The week finished on a high with the Reception class performing their annual Mothers' Day assembly. The singing, peoms and artwork were wonderful to see.

Next week the children in a number of the classes will be completing their Spring term assessments in time for their parents' meetings that will be taking place before the end of term. We also have an own clothes day on Friday, with donations of chocolate for the PTS Easter Bingo.

Thank you for all your continued support,

Mr Short

5 Ways to Wellbeing | Mind

Read our 5 Ways to Wellbeing to learn how you could boost your mental health at work. They're developed by the New Economics Foundation, and rooted in research.

Things to Remember:

  • Please make sure there is enough money on your child’s Parentpay account to cover their toast and school dinners.
  • Is the snack you are sending into school healthy? Please ensure that the children do not have crisps, chocolate bars etc for their snack. And nothing containing nuts.
  • Please contact the school office if your child is going to be absent from school.
  • Any bout of sickness or diarrhoea has to have a 48 hour absence after the last episode.

Attendance Matters:

There are several children arriving at school after registration time daily. This has a significant impact on our office team who are having to escort children to their classes. Learning time is also being missed. Please ensure that your child arrives promptly at 8.45am

The school gate will be closed when the bell goes at 8.55am.

If for some reason your child is late, please make sure you go with them and sign them in at the office. Children can not be responsible for signing themselves in.

The school day begins at 8.55am.
