This week, our pupils had the wonderful opportunity to visit Blue Planet Aquarium, and what an incredible experience it was! The children were excited to explore the fascinating underwater world, learning about a wide variety of marine life during a guided tour of the aquarium. From colourful fish to majestic sharks, the tour allowed them to see first-hand the beauty and diversity of ocean creatures.

One of the highlights of the trip was a special classroom session that linked closely to themes explored in the book The Sea Book, which the children have been studying in class. The session focused on the very important issue of plastic pollution in our oceans, and our pupils were given the chance to learn about the devastating effects that plastic waste can have on marine life.

Throughout the session, they discovered practical steps they can take to help protect our oceans and the creatures that inhabit them. The children were deeply engaged and showed great enthusiasm for learning more about how they can make a positive impact on the environment.

It was a truly educational and exciting trip, one that not only enhanced their understanding of the natural world but also sparked a passion for conservation. We're incredibly proud of how the children embraced this experience, and we hope they continue to carry forward the lessons they learned about protecting our planet.

A huge thank you to Blue Planet Aquarium for hosting us and providing such an inspiring, hands-on learning experience!
