Mr Short’s Weekly Message

Dear Parents

We are looking forward to seeing you all next week at the parents' meetings, we hope you find these useful and beneficial. We will be waiting until later in the next half term to invite you all in to school to look at the children's work. You will be able to sit with your children and look through their books together and share their learning so far.

You will have seen that the PTA has a new Chair and Vice Chairs. We are sure they will continue the great work of the PTA moving forward. I would like to thank Lucy Speed, who has stepped down as the PTA Chair, for all of her hard work and efforts over the past number of years. She has offered so much to the PTA and school and helped to raised lots of money that has been used to benefit all the children at school.

The children are working hard towards the Harvest Festival, which will take place next Friday at 1:30pm, the side gates will be open at 1:15pm and the PTA will be offering refreshments for you. The children can wear their shirt and ties if you want them to.

We will be open for donations to the Food Bank from Monday next week. The lists of items they are short of are:

  • TEA
  • COFFEE
  • SUGAR
  • UHT MILK (GREEN OR BLUE)
  • CUSTARD
  • JAM
  • RICE PUDDING
  • TINNED MEAT
  • TINNED VEG
  • TINNED FISH
  • CARRIER BAGS, CARRIER BAGS....AND EVEN MORE CARRIERS BAGS PLEASE!

We hope you have a safe and relaxing weekend.

Thank you for your continued support.

C Short

Things to Remember:

Please make sure there is enough money on your child’s Parentpay account to cover their toast and school dinners.

Is the snack you are sending into school healthy? Please ensure that the children do not have crisps, chocolate bars etc for their snack. And nothing containing nuts.

Please contact the school office if your child is going to be absent from school.

Any bout of sickness or diarrhoea has to have a 48 hour absence after the last episode.
