Year 5 put on a fantastic showcase for parents this week, celebrating their learning from across the year through a series of entertaining and informative sketches. Covering a wide range of subjects—including the solar system in science, fronted adverbials and subordinate clauses in English, weather reports in geography, and fractions in maths—the children impressed everyone with their creativity and confidence. Highlights included a police scene and a Great British Bake Off-inspired sketch, each one cleverly bringing classroom learning to life.

To round off the afternoon, the children performed the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song, which they’ve been learning as part of their Charanga music unit. Their energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and it was clear just how much effort had gone into preparing the event. A big well done to Year 5 for their brilliant performances, and thank you to all the staff who helped make it such a success.
